The Four Foundations of Mindfulness
VEN HENEPOLA GUNARATANA
This series is organised by Bhavana Society of Western Virginia. Ven Henepola Gunaratana or more affectionately known by his students as Bhante G, leads the Dhamma sharing of Buddha’s profound teaching on the Four Foundations of Mindfulness. The main suttas used are MN 10 and DN 22 and Bhante G brings in other suttas during session. Each session is about an hour and begins with Bhante leading a 30-minute guided meditation. It is then followed by a 30-minute sharing of the sutta or a 30-minute Q&A session.
This series started on August 26, 2020 via zoom and is currently on-going. It is conducted via zoom at this link: https://us04web.zoom.us/j/668674778 (Meeting ID: 668 674 778 Passcode: metta), every Thursday to Sunday at 10am EDT (10pm Singapore Time).
Bhante G has reiterated that this course is for the practitioner who meditates and it is not a scholarly series.
